Plant Description

This semi-mobile unit comprises feed equipment with hopper, apron conveyor and scraper conveyor, a pre-screening section with large eccentric shaft screen, a  Impactor Type AP-PMH 2022, a discharge belt conveyor and a dust collecting plant.

The raw material is brought by dump truck to a 150 m³ (200 CY) capacity hopper, from where it is extracted by a heavy-duty apron conveyor with a hydraulic drive. To ensure that heavy material lumps do not drop directly onto the apron conveyor, the feed hopper is fitted with an ultrasonic level control which prevents total emptying of the hopper and ensures that there is always a cushioning material layer on the apron conveyor. A scraper chain conveyor underneath the apron conveyor handles any spillage material.

In order to relieve the crusher and to intercept abrasive fines, mounted upstream of the crusher is a large eccentric screen, by means of which the minus 100 mm (4’’) fines are removed as rejects.

The whole unit is built around the  impactor, which incorporates the very latest technology. The gap settings of the impact aprons and grinding path are adjusted hydraulically and can be aligned to the specific characteristics of the feed material and the product requirements.

Impact apron adjustment can be effected either from the control room or locally and is extremely easy to carry out. The one-piece blow bars of the rugged cast rotor are clamped in position hydraulically. In conjunction with a specially-designed device, blow bar turning changing time and personnel requirements are reduced to a minimum. All in all, the impactor is characterised by its ease of operation and minimum maintenance.

The three semi-mobile units – feed, crusher and dust collector unit – are mounted on a steel structure with skids. The steel structure itself, the catwalks and the grids are galvanized.
