A grinding mill can be used “for over 100 materials”! Way “over 100 materials”. The number is actually closet to “every solid material on Earth, natural or man made”. So let’s say closer to millions than 100.
Simply put a grinding mill does exactly what it says. It grinds shit down finer and finer. If you’re going to be grinding any metals then it’s a good idea to choose a sparkles medium and grinder. For example if you want to grind together some black powder in a ball mill it would serve you well to use lead or antimony balls.
But quite simply, a grinding mill grinds stuff down and that’s it. I wouldn’t buy one if you’re at all handy. They’re incredibly simple to make with a few spare parts and maybe some junk from the dump.But be careful because if you’re grinding a reactive or combustible material with the wrong media then you’ve essentially just got a pipe bomb with a randomized fuse.
So keep in mind that when you hit a flint with steel it’s the steel/iron that burns, not the flint. Atomized nickel combust with oxygen too. Just look up the media in an atomized chemistry sense and you’ll be ok.
